{"comments":{"873930":{"pb_id":"4588","pb_type":"members","likes":"0","parent_id":"0","pid":"873930","comment_id":"873930","member_id":"4588","comment":"Rankings changes for week #4 ended 9\/28 reflected big meets at Stanford, Dana Hills, and some late true-ups from Woodbridge. Now that we&#39;re into the heart of the season, preseason rankings are a thing of the past an no longer factored in.  <br \/>\n<br \/>\nFor the <strong class='bbc'>girls<\/strong>, we saw big moves from <strong class='bbc'>Poway <\/strong>(from NR to 8) and <strong class='bbc'>Dana Hills<\/strong> (from NR to 19) after their outstanding performance at the Dana Hills Invitational. As a result of the Stanford Invitational, we saw moves from <strong class='bbc'>Campolindo <\/strong>(from 25 to 9) and <strong class='bbc'>Arcadia <\/strong>(from NR to 11), who both had great runs. Finally we should note that <strong class='bbc'>Canyon of Canyon Country<\/strong> is making their first appearance in the statewide rankings after upsetting <strong class='bbc'>Saugus <\/strong>in a tight league battle. Note that Saugus, who was missing their #2 girl and is expected back shortly, slipped to 15 (for now) but remains ahead of Canyon.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nOn the <strong class='bbc'>boys <\/strong>side, several big moves are due to corrections from Week #3, as some performances at Woodbridge weren&#39;t reflected - namely <strong class='bbc'>Palos Verdes<\/strong> (From 7 to 2), <strong class='bbc'>Jurupa Hills<\/strong> (from 17 to 7), <strong class='bbc'>Clovis North<\/strong> (from NR to 14), and <strong class='bbc'>El Toro<\/strong> (from NR to 20). <strong class='bbc'>Redondo <\/strong>jumped from 22 to 12 after matching up nicely with PV in Bay League #1. Finally, the Stanford Invitational changed the pecking order as <strong class='bbc'>Bellarmine Prep<\/strong> got 3rd (from 24 to 16) and <strong class='bbc'>La Costa Canyon<\/strong> got 2nd (from NR to 15), both upsetting <strong class='bbc'>De La Salle<\/strong>.  <br \/>\n<br \/>\nI have to say it bothers me every week when I see great teams get pushed off the list, not due to a bad performance, but because others simply stepped up.  This week will be a bit different as several smaller invitationals around the state take place, before the big Clovis Invitational takes place the following week.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nI appreciate the feedback we received from multiple people so far this season as we continue to refine our rankings process.
