It was a very busy week in race action with five alumni competing in meets around the country.

Let's start with Sean Gilea ('09) who traveled to Kansas with his Colorado School of Mines team to compete in the Tiger Cross Country Open.  Sean had his best performance to date, completing the 8k course in a blistering 23:54!!  Yes that's a 23 (no typo) - a 4:46 mile pace for 5 miles! Also running outside of California, Kevin Joerger ('10) traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana with the LMU team to compete in the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet.  Kevin has been struggling with anemia in recent weeks and it showed as he completed the 8k course in 28:26 for 239th place.  (Results)

Next, Allie Lopez ('09) traveled north with the UCLA team to Sunnyvale to compete in the Bronco Invitational.  Allie completed the course in 18:31 for the 5k for 78th place. (Results)

Meanwhile in San Luis Obispo, Andrew Snyder ('09) was competing at the Cal Poly Invitational with his UC Irvine sqad.  Andrew completed the 8k course in 27:49 for 15th place in the race. (Results)

And in Southern California action, Evan Hillman ('09) was with the Occidental team at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet.  Evan completed the 8k course in 31:35 for 88th place. (Results)

Next weekend, look for several alumni in action as UCI and UCLA go to the Titan Invite in Fullerton and Chapman University goes to the Biola Invitational.
